Update - The project has been worked on again and I will be posting another photo again this afternoon and the project is moving along quite nicely. Most of the entire front end of the image has been completed. The splash of the morning sun lights up the entire inside of the Dolphin. Aircrew is seen and the eyes of the aircraft are lit with life. I see the front windscreen of any aircraft as being the eyes and window to the soul of a piece of hardware like the 65C. Stay tuned...
"Morning Stroll" is a short project that I am catching up with in that I have been always wanting to do a short piece on the 65C. "Morning Stroll" Celebrates the return of CGAS Detroit to Muskegon and West Michigan shoreline. It is 6:30 am in Muskegon, Michigan and the sun is burning on the eastern horizon. It is now finally coming to fruition and should be finished up with. I will be showing more and more of the shots of the project as it finishes up.
On the previous entry of a Brand New Bike I will hopefully be shooting those photos for the project soon. Stay tuned... |

| There are many pieces that are being considered and believe me I want to visit them all but there is simply not time and I am having difficulty getting to any at the current time. One of the projects that will come to fruition will be a piece entitled CIO. This project is named before I work on it at all since it is a commemorative idea that will be available this summer during the Muskegon Bike Time. The project will feature a certain Harley-Davidson Road King and its owner. Looking forward to the project I am hoping to see a print follow that will be available on the weekend of the event. This project will hopefully be started in the next few weeks. I will keep you posted on its progress. I also want to keep you posted on the project of Outpost At Sandy's. This is a fantasy bike piece that lends a strong western adventure them to the bike paintings. Being strongly influenced by David Mann and the story type painting that he accomplished his hs career. CIO and Outpost At Sandy's will illustrate these ideas in American bike culture. I can't wait to share with you. |

I have had the habit lately of taking in a lot of .While I am hearing a lot of thoughts from other people that are into some of the same things that I am in to I realize that I do seclude myself while I am engrossed in a project.
By seclusion I mean clamping off the unwanted influences of other artists, photographers and controlling ideas of others that will cause my work to go in a certain direction. My painting styles and ideas are not friendly to other schools of thought and often times I get folks wandering into my ring to offer, what they think as a friendly critique on my work. Or they throwing out their ideas on where they would go with something. Believe me folks I will tune that out faster than a bad song on the radio. I do not want nor do I believe that one artist would do or say anything to "help" another. We want to pervay our own version of "the fantasy".
With that said, I will move on to say that the images that I create regardless of the genre are images that I enjoy and I do enjoy the work that I do. I will not walk away from anything and say that was too much work. The seclusion that I seek on the current project is to offer a unique view but to also take military art to a level that has not been done in contemporary times. You will just have to see what I mean as I release more images and VidCasts on the project. I lot of the images you can see on the article page for this project but I would suggest subscribing to the thoughts and coverage on my .
"Project M" - This is a new entry under the collections tab at the top will take us to a genre that I wlll return to in the near future with a title "M" the latest project that keeps thoughts from Bryan Snuffer. So you have seen the link in the menu and are wondering what this is. "M" is a comic strip that I am playing around with. I like to draw and mess around with ideas that I think my children are experiencing in life. The fun stuff of being a kid and I want to roll up all the aspects of my children into a character that is an excentric. Only in the fact that M or Emer as he called is by himself alot. The strip will be revealed on the web only and only here. The strip may only be three panels long at first or as I have time to give it. I am looking forward to showing it off. |

Things have been going kind of crazy in the studio. While there are many things being worked on certainly seems as though Bryan has come up missing. There are going to be some great images that will be available I assure you in the near future. In this story I am going to talk about the Advance Swimmer piece that I am currently working as well as the "Not Tonight " piece that has been on the easel for quite some time, (sorry Chuck).
- Rightfully named as is the direct reflection of the lure of the breathtaking landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. Travelers and explorers alike venture onto the rocky cliff scapes of Oregon and Washington. There are times when the cliffs and caves of those areas do get the best of tourists and even more experienced cave explorers. The Coast Guard have made it their intention to be highly qualified in sending in rescue teams into these areas to bring out peope that may have become injured or ae just plain old stranded. is meant to highlight the accomplishment of not only transcending this training but using it and seeing the helicopter rescue team accomplishing some amazing rescues in circumstances that are nothing less than harrowing. The interesting part about the image is that it will be again from a perspective that no camera could have ever taken you to. The image will be available in a L/E Print at a special price.
"Not Tonight: The Creole Belle" - I feel that I need to comment on this project as it has been on the table for quite some time that the timeline for completion has been mired by other extraneous project in the recent past. It will come to fruition but not quite sure where it fits in yet. The project highlights some of the daring rescues made by the crew at CGAS Cape Cod. So for thise of you that have inquired about it, hang in there! The piece covers the rescue of the crew of the Creole Belle, a commercial fishing trawler that had become disabled in 10 foot seas. The rescue required the deployment of a rescue swimmer to hoist the survivors back to the 60. This again will be available in a limited edtion print.
So in short the artist is not exactly missing but has been on somewhat of a hiatus due to an increasing number of varying projects but also to family issues that needed attention. In the near future you can expect more great images and products from . I would like to draw your attention to the story page to see the ongoing coverage of the creation of the project. I will show pics and VidCasts so that you can see how Bryan works. Other pieces that are off the military beaten path a project entitled "CIO", another motorcycle culture creature will be available come the midsummer. We will have more on this project as it comes to fruition. The project will be bear photos from a shoot with the owner of a Harley Road King that will be the primary model for this project. This will be a very interesting story image as well. This project will bear prints in as L/E print for an organization involved in the . |

| As a developing piece there are studies on the subject of the swimmer and the advance training on the rocky shores. The aircrews of Coast Guard Aviation and Search and rescue as whole is now being elevated tp the status of the super hero and almost as if there could be a comic book on the subject. |

The is approaching rapidly. If you have ever been to the festival I would love to see you there. Coast Guard artist Dick Levesque and myself will be the focus of an exhibit of Coast Guard Art during the week of the festival. It will start with a reception on the evening of Friday, July 25th 2008. We will be there to meet greet guests and to answer questions regarding the work that we do. The and the Festival of Military Fine Arts are our co-cponsors in helping tell the Coast Guard Story. The Exhibit is entitled "Coast Guard Reflections". Subject matter goes back as far as World War II to present. The festival runs the entire following week and is the largest event of its kind honoring the men and women of the Coast Guard and their history. The Life-Saving Station at Grand Haven dates back to the years when the Department of Treasury created the service to save lives and property being lost in the sand and rocky shoals of our coastlines. Books and art alike have been authored on the subject of Coast Guard City and we would like to share it all with you. Grand Haven and the whole West Michigan area is a awesome place to visit that time of year! There is much to see and do.
-Coast Guard Festival
We are committed to honoring the men and women of the United States Coast Guard by: Hosting a nationally recognized festival that honors and respects the men and women of the United States Coast Guard.

Another motorcycle piece comin at ya. This one tells the story of a Saturday Night hang out. Except no one can ever seem to remember how to get there. We had a blast there last weekend though. Great band and probably the best steak I ever had! You can see the bigger drawing in the Motorsports Artwork section in .
Tomorrow you get to see some of the images from the drawings of "Cliff Divers and Cave Dwellers", a new Coast Guard project. More later... |

There has been a great deal that has been put on hold in the studio for now as Bryan has been pursuing other projects. Ones that are on other subject matters. It's for fun. But, one project that will be forthcoming is the "Cliff Divers and Cave Dwellers" A piece that will be highlighting the traingin g that is offered to Coast Guard Rscue Swimmers at CGAS Astoria, Oregon.
This piece like Dad's Dream will offer a unique perspective on the training of cave rescues as they are prolific in the Pacific Northwest. Ther are many caves in the Oregon coastline and people like to explore them. They can be very dangerous and many have been lost and injured while on their excursion. The Coast Guard is well equipped and well trained deploy a rescue swimmer, sometimes into rough surf, to make their way into some of these remote locations.
Drawings are all finished and I will post those soon to give you a fell for where they are going. Although the drawings are not necessarily final they are well rounded in the general direction of the piece. |

More and more there are other subjects creeping into this site but only because Bryan is getting into different things. The motorsports art that can be seen in is a lot different than what you are used to here. The Streetfighter is a bike that is made in America and this is a celebration of that fact. What makes painting man and machine so much fun is the direct contrast between the two and the juxtapositioning of the inorganic to the organic. Yeah whatever, it is mostly about the freedom that this country is born with. |

Do you have bike that has to be immortalized? Talk to me! Go to ym contact section and tell me about it. I am also open to commissions in this arena. Set up for a photography session this spring or summer and you can be on your way! This is a painting of my friend John Sellinger and his Fatboy®. It has been a real pleasure to work on this project and since John made some modifications to his bike Bryan got a chance to show off some of his abilities in technical accuracy. Want a painting of your bike and family click the contact button at the top and tell us your story!
The Coppermine Site is a freeforall where you can see the behind the scenes and make comments, send postcards and anything else you can think of! This portion of my site is a repository for work that is being done that does not necessarily pertain to the military effort but is work being done in the studion nonetheless. , it's free! You can see all of the developmental parts of the project, see notes and maybe leave some. It wouldn't be fun if it didn't put an eye out! |
