The Pterodactyl Roost of 2008 was awesome and I have to thank Mont and Linda Smith for theirs and the Pteros generosity and Captain Peter Troedsson, LT Rob Potter and his group that put on one awesome event. I am also thankful for to them for their hospitality and inviting out to beautiful Astoria, Oregon. Events hosted by the Columbia River Maritime Museum were incredible as well. The museum is an incredible display my compliments to Jerry Ostermiller and his beautiful wife for their incredible efforts to make that museum the amazing place that it is. I had a great time and it was wonderful to meet those of you that attended. I hope to see you again in Elizabeth City. |

| NEW PROJECTS |
| AAhh, so much to do, so little time. Many, many projects on the docket that I hope that all you might be interested in. One of the most important ones that I spoke to many of you about was the release of the H-3 image coming up this Thanksgiving. That image is still on target and I hope to have an image that not only be a unique one but one that will bring back many memories for those that served in that platform. The H-3 painting will be set against the beautiful landscape of Sitka and Mount Edgecumbe. I hope to produce a brighter and more light hearted image than ones I have in the recent past. The H-3 project has no title yet but it will be released by FlightDeck Pub as a 13x19 archival print, a Mini-Print and 6x9 collector's postcard. Very exciting for sure! When I say many projects I mean that will be busy for quite some time just with Coast Guard projects. Another very important project that will be started soon, and I want to tell you about because I am very excited about is two pieces that cover the subject of the Alaska Ranger Rescue. An incredible story for sure and one that I would encourage you to read if you have the time. The link to Kalee Thompson's incredible story on Popular Mechanic's web site is here. "Not Tonight: The Creole Belle" is still on the docket, I apologize Chuck for the delays. This project is still underway and covers a SAR case in Cape Cod. I will have more on this soon. Portraits. Two will be created in 2009. One of an air crew at CGAS Detroit and one of a Seattle based Fast Rope Team. There are more but we'll keep those under wraps for now. Besides, I don't want to talk your ear off and this letter will get way too long. Thank you all again for your support in my work and I hope to keep producing images that mark our military history and that bring many memories back! All the best, Bryan |
